Make-up and Hair for your picture perfect wedding day:

Here are a few tips:

Whether you do your own make-up or have a professional do it, remember you want to look at your pictures and “see you”. Use an oil-free foundation and plenty of translucent powder so you don’t look greasy in the photographs. Shine is the #1 camera enemy. Some shine can be eliminated in post processing, but not all. It is one of those “it is what it is” moments for the photographer. Blotting paper is a nice addition to your makeup bag. You can buy expensive packs, but a tip from model Tyra – they are just toilet seat covers!

Avoid glitter, shimmer and frosted eye shadows, as they look too shiny in photographs. Be sure to use waterproof mascara, as brides have been known to cry!

Lipstick is always a problem for the bride because it fades. The last thing you should be worrying about is lipstick. We recommend one of the new semi-permanent lip colors.

Hair:

Short or long, up-do or down, straight or curly… just keep your hair out of your eyes and not blocking your beautiful face!

Take Bridal Portraits! Don’t miss your opportunity to do a trial run with hair, makeup and dress. We took portraits of a bride and she noticed her dress wasn’t fitting properly. She didn’t notice it in the mirror, but the pictures showed the need for additional adjustments. Also, you can see if you like your hair and makeup and just as important – how long the process will take. Hair and make-up always takes longer than you expect!

Took bridals and decided hair was not right!
