Glenda and John at the House on the Hill

I asked how they met... the answer was "Sonic". John is a manager and Glenda briefly worked there. Now, she is a hairdresser with lots of loyal customers including the minister and they all came to celebrate with Glenda and John. The couple decided on a sunflower theme and they even grew the huge sunflowers used at the altar. The couples families all pitched in to decorate and create a garden atmosphere. We decided to create a bit of suspense and texted John a "photo" message from the bridesmaids. It turned out so cute! The ceremony was sweet and they danced back down the aisle at the end setting the tone for the rest of the evening. BBQ, toasts, cake, a choreographed first dance, fun in the photo booth and an exit to sparklers. The couple was heading to New Orleans and Destin, FL for their honeymoon. It was a wonderful event - thanks for including us.

Kelsey @ 1 year

We attempted to have a play and photo session at a local park but one year old Kelsey wanted nothing to do with it. So... we decided try the following week with a home "lifestyle" session. We were confident that Kelsey would stop crying and holding on to momma if we came to her world. We started in her beautiful white Pottery Barn inspired play room filled with nursery rhyme music, toys, stuffed animals, and tea set. We were right, and what gems we captured. We put her in the comfort of her crib and look...smiles! Then outside for a picture that her mom wanted us to replicate that we took of her sister took a couple year ago in our wash tub. It all worked wonderfully. Kelsey is a doll, she just wanted pictures on her terms. We can't blame her for that!

Christina and Jamie - Fireman's Hall, Thorndale

This was one "laid back" couple! No anxiety, simple wishes, lots of friends, a huge party and ton's of fun. Christina and Jamie decided to have a very intimate church ceremony. They invited only a few close friends and family members. Christina was thrown a curve ball when a freak summer storm popped up and they lost electricity to where she was getting ready, but she still arrived before the ceremony was due to begin. She wore a beautiful beaded short dress. The couple met in the sanctuary and walked down the aisle together. A very heartfelt message from the minister and then some formal pictures before heading to the Fireman's Hall. Christina told me they told 480 people about the reception, no formal invitations were sent. The hall could easily hold crowd of about 350. After a delicious BBQ meal the party started with a grand march followed by lots of boot scooting. I failed to mention that Christina changed into red boots...too cute. Evidently, there is a Thorndale tradition to raffle off an item to fund the couple's honeymoon. We have never seen this before but what a great idea! Heavy interest in the Yeti cooler totally yielded enough cash to easily fund a dream honeymoon. Super cool. Jamie is an Austin firefighter and Christina works for TDI.
