Okay, now that Jim has seen his bride on wedding day we can post some samples from Mary's bridal session with us at Chateau Bellevue. What a great place for a bridal session. Of course it didn't hurt to have a beautiful bride to photograph.

Jim and Mary at St. Austin and Chateau Bellevue
This lovely couple was married with a beautiful
mass at St. Austin’s Catholic Church, home of the Paulist Fathers. The Paulists
deliver a message to meet the desires of a contemporary culture. It really was
a sweet ceremony and felt very comfortable and intimate in a large setting.
This couple had a beautiful start with words of wisdom and encouragement.
Then off to Chateau Bellevue the current home of the Austin Women’s Club. The mansion
was built by Harvey and Catherine North in 1874. The North’s were new comers to
Austin when construction began. Before coming to Austin, Harvey North was a
merchant in New Orleans. He took his family on long visits to Europe, giving
credence to the idea that Bellevue’s castle imagery evoked European castles…
and it does. Simply stunning…and what a party! Live music, good food, wonderful
toasts, fun in the live photo booth and lots of dancing. The couple departed to
bubbles and left in a very Austin way…. On a pedicab! Congrats to Jim and
Mary.

Wade and Cathy @ St. Paul’s and the South Austin Marriott
It is hard to narrow down words for some weddings. First, the couple smiled the whole time. Check out Cathy’s face during her first dance with her new husband. Wade and Cathy are perfect complements to each other. Holding hands, gentleness, and tender words filled this day…. And soooo easy going. I had to giggle when the men’s flowers could not be located and the bride was a bit delayed getting to the church, she turned and said to me, “Oh well, we have never done this before!” What a great attitude. Royal blue was the signature color of the day. I love the bright colors on girls with the greenery of the landscape. A wonderful and touching mass with heart felt words from the Priest started off this marriage and then off to the Marriott for a lively reception that included mariachi band. A wonderful plated dinner was served to the guests and then they danced the night away. Wade works for the Veterans Administration and Cathy is a school teacher. They recently purchased a house in the Houston area and Cathy is looking forward to her new job as a reading specialty teacher. They are off to Las Vegas for their honeymoon and then moving time! Best wishes to a great couple.
