The first time we met Brayden he was 5 days old. Now, he is two and a half. How
time flies. Mom, Stacy, said he is smack in the middle of his terrible two's but
we saw no evidence of that during this session. He was happy and cooperative.
With one exception, he didn't want to have his picture taken without Mom and
Dad, Chris. No worries, we will catch him again when he is an independent three
year old!

Megan - Bridal Portrait Session at the Texas Capitol
We met Megan, her mom and a bridesmaid at the Capitol for her bridal portrait
session. Megan was cutting this session a bit close, as her wedding is just 14
days away at Villa St. Clair. Megan was simply stunning in her lace gown with
gray sash. I bet JD will be speechless when he sees her walk down the aisle.
Mark and I love photographing in the capitol. The light in the extension is
awesome. We can't wait to see which picture she selects for her reception. It is
hard to believe that the capitol was almost lost in 1983 to a fire. As a bit of
a history lesson, the capitol construction began 1876 and is famed for being
the largest barter transactions of recorded history, the builders of the capitol
were paid with more than three-million acres of public land in the Panhandle
region of Texas. This tract later became the largest cattle ranch in the world,
the XIT Ranch.

Miss Ella @ 5days - In home newborn session
We don't get to do these sessions near enough! But we sure have fun when we can. We photographed Andrew and Kate's wedding, newborn session for big sister, Melissa and now Ella. Watching young families grow is a cool "perk" we get as photographers. Miss Ella was wide awake and not hardly a peep out of her the entire session. Check out Melissa reading Ella the Elephant to her baby sister.

Jose and Laura Engagement Session - Zilker Botanical Gardens
Jose and Laura could not have picked a better day to roam around this beautiful setting for their engagement session. The rose garden was in full bloom and the foliage was lush green. Ahhh...Spring in Texas. The colors were vibrant and you couldn't even tell that Zilker was packed with visitors. This sweet couple gets married in 2 short weeks and will have their reception at the Austin Club. We look forward to visiting this historic downtown landmark.

Moto GP Practice at the Circuit of the Americas
A friend, Scott, invited me out to visit the Moto GP practice session today. It gave me a great opportunity to see the track for the first time and take a few (okay several hundred) photos of the motorcycle racers. I think the colors in the corners really adds interest and make the photos snap. And boy do those guys go fast. I think they may have to be some of the bravest racers out there. Those speeds, leaning those bikes over so far, trusting their equipment, with nothing around them but their leathers. Probably helps to be a little crazy too. Check out some of my photos and let me know what you think. Thanks for getting me out there Scott. (If you click on one of the photos you can view them enlarged)
