The Marriage of Zane and Morgan

Mark and I could not have selected a better man than Zane for our daughter and we are proud to have him in our family. What a great day we had. The heat from the second hottest summer in Texas history final broke! Well, when it was only in the 90’s it felt cool!

Rehearsal and Dinner:

UT football weekend and normal Friday traffic caused some stress for the bridal party. But everyone arrived safe and we had the trial run. Good thing you practice… in our case twice! We had some wrinkles to iron out! Then off to the Saltgrass Steak House. They did a wonderful job and we had great food. Morgan ended the night handing out her homemade cookies with the “secret” recipe handed down by her great grandmother. Thanks to Stacy and Alan Ludwick for sponsoring the meal.

Ceremony:

The ceremony was held at the Hamkamer-Fleming Chapel built in 1955 on the campus of the Texas Baptist Children’s home in Round Rock. Simply beautiful! Zane’s mother, Cynthia did all of the flowers. She is a florist and set up shop in our home the day before and worked like crazy to get all the flowers done before the rehearsal dinner. We can’t say enough great things about Chaplin Larry Todd. He did an awesome job. Tender and funny at the same time. Morgan’s sister, Lauren provided a blessing of the hands. A string quartet and one of Morgan friends singing filled the church with beautiful music. The wedding party looked awesome and did a lovely job standing up for Morgan and Zane. The couple was sent off to the reception to a shower of red rose petals and driven by Austin Cobalt Limousines.

Reception:

Heritage Oaks Clubhouse in Georgetown provided the perfect venue for Morgan and Zane. Air conditioning was the number one priority… especially this summer! The men got ready in the grooms room played some pool, and watched football. The girls made their preperations in the brides room. Pictures were taken outside by the pond. The reception was a blast! Carino’s did a great job with the food, Simply Waitstaff provided exceptional service and our special day of wedding coordinator kept the reception right on schedule with out a word or worry from us! Thank you , thank you. Texas Pro DJ did a great job with the music. We danced the night away and the groomsmen provided some added entertainment! Words can not describe the fun that we had…we will let the pictures speak for us.

The couple departed with a veil of bubbles. They spent the night at the Vineyards at Florence and left for a romantic week in Barbados.

Special thanks to all of our friends and family that helped set up the reception and run numerous errands. And, we could not have captured the ceremony and reception through photography without Steve Hancock being behind the camera.

Life is good and we are blessed.

  1. We had the most magical night filled with fun, friends, family, great food and great music. Best of all, Zane and I were completely care free. Knowing that the best of the best were taking care of the photography, the "day of coordinator," Heather, kept us on schedule and made sure things ran perfectly smooth.

We look back on our wedding day through these beautiful photos and we are reminded how lucky we are to have such wonderful people in our lives that made this special day possible.

My Mom and Dad said it best...

Life is good and we are blessed.
