Katelyn and Brett in Shippensburg, PA

It was such a pleasure to travel to Pennsylvania to be a part of Katelyn and Brett’s wedding weekend. The couple has a spectacular set of family and friends. It was fun to be part of their rehearsal and dinner at the University Grill. Crab cakes and prime rib....yum. Following dinner the bridesmaids and groomsmen received their gifts. I have to mention the care and thought put into to every single gift. Katelyn and Brett put so much thought and energy into making these gifts memorable. The girls gift bags were like getting Christmas all over again. Katelyn even took a piece of fabric from her wedding dress and embroidered a message in each of the men’s ties. Amazing. The wedding was held in Shippensburg in the St. Andrews Episcopal church which was first established in 1904. The church with candles lining the pews provided such a beautiful backdrop for the very special ceremony. Readings were done by young ones with grace and confidence. The hour long ceremony was the perfect start to their union. The off the the Lodges at Gettysburg for a fun filled reception.  Peacock feathers provided the theme and colors for the day. Plum, lime green and purple. It was so very pretty. Special toasts, a beautiful cake and lots of dancing rounded out the night. The planning paid off with a terrific celebration. No rest for this couple. They are off to Costa Rica on an adventure honeymoon. I hear the zip lining is incredible. Thanks for including us!
