I love telling the story of each wedding and with this one, there is so much to tell! First, Khera got married on her families ranch in Giddings and wow...did they do a terrific job! Her father and mother were so creative. After the long central Texas drought, they lost a ton of cedar trees, so they used them to make the benches, alter, the bars and coasters for the wedding favor. Then, they built a barn for the reception. We have had weddings with a Texas feel, but none more than this one. Khera's sister was her matron of honor and 7 sorority sisters rounded out her bridal party. They were dressed in the cutest red dresses, bright flowers, cowboy boots and chunky turquoise jewelry. Khera had an amazing group of girls! Ditto for the groomsmen, they were polite and there to support Adam. The men dressed casually in starched shirts, jeans and boots. A family friend created the most awesome flower arrangements and there were flowers, literally, everywhere! Mark and I commented on how "everyone" from the wedding party, family and guests had a great time but were some of the nicest people we have ever met. Their ceremony was very touching and funny. Then on to a lively party. A yummy dinner for about 275 guests moved very quickly, signature drinks, and great band out of San Antonio that kept the crowd boot scootin' rounded out the night. Khera and Adam are both graduates of Texas A&M. Adam is a commercial lender and Khera will be looking for a teaching job this summer. They will live on Adam's family ranch in Hondo. They are honeymooning in Mexico. This is one terrific couple! P.S. I don't know the exact timeframe, but I hear the Vay's plan on opening up their ranch as a wedding venue over the next few months.
