Derek and Crystal - Bling was the theme!

We had the honor of photographing Derek and Crystal's wedding last weekend. The ceremony was held at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The mass equaled the beauty of the facility. It was a lovely marriage ceremony. Then off to The Oasis for a fun filled reception. First, let me say hands down, I can't think of a more gorgeous place for sunset pictures! The clouds lifted just in time for great colors. The Oasis staff did a fantastic job. Bling was a recognizable theme throughout the reception. Flowers and rhinestones on Crystals dress matched the cake, which matched the cake knife, which matched her shoes, which matched the lovely flowers by Rebekah at The Glass Fountain. Orange and bright pink were the colors of the day! Crystal surprised Derek with a grooms cake that was a replica of his orange corvette. Lots of little details that didn't go unnoticed! We fired up the photobooth and could hardly keep up with the line of guests waiting for fun pictures! Check out the last photo in this entry for an example from the Bride and Groom. Everyone had a blast, including the photographers. Derek and Crystal ended with a very "bling" exit to sparklers!

"Love" in the making - Valentine Engagement Session

Bonnie can't wait to marry Joe! First, he is a simply awesome guy and second, he has a great last name... "Love". Mr. and Mrs. Love will have a church wedding and a reception at Bella Notte on Main in Round Rock. They are such a cute couple and super fun to work with. After a very cold winter and one cancellation due to a rare Austin snow storm, we made out with a beautiful day for this session. We can't wait to see which picture they select for their Save-the-Date cards. Joe works in IT and Bonnie is in commercial insurance and both are avid bike enthusiasts. We look forward to participating in the "Love" wedding.

Ryleigh

We photographed Jonathan and Bria's wedding a couple of years ago and nothing is better than being asked to be their baby's first professional photographer! Mark stayed in Austin to meet with some brides, while I traveled to Baltimore, Maryland for this itty-bitty-baby session. Ryleigh was 14 days old and such a sweet baby girl. She looks a great deal like her daddy, but sure does have some of her mommy - like the most perfect ears. Not really visible when sleeping, but she has some cute dimples just like her Aunt Elizabeth. Grammy Karen was my assistant while Bria ventured out to Baby-R-Us and then got a nap. Ryleigh tolerated all the posing and moving pretty well, but she put down her foot when we asked her to lay on her daddy's cold guitar! So she got him back when we put her on his back for some of our last photographs... it was really pretty funny. Let just say, Jonathan got to take a shower when we were done!

Here is Chance

Holly and Chris welcomed their second son, Chance, into world six days ago! Holly is amazing, we called her the day she was released from the hospital to schedule this sweet boys portrait session and she was "out running errands"! Chance was so good during this session with barely a peep out of him. Holly told us that she had packed up the family to go out the night before and it took an hour and a half to get out the door. She said without our "in home" newborn portrait service she wouldn't have had newborn pictures taken. How neat and just the kind of feedback we love. Holly and Chris have a very mature parenting ease about them. Chris is a local police officer and Holly is a recruiter for executive level accountants. Enjoy meeting one of our newest Texans!
