Kristin and Dave - Winfield Inn

The Winfield Inn, Kyle Texas was the setting for this very lovely wedding. Kristin and Dave are such a fun loving and easy going couple. They decided to have a first glance moment. It was really awesome to hear Dave tell Kristin how beautiful she looked. Then we knocked out much of the formal pictures. Dave had his brother and Kristin had her sister stand up for them. Kristin was escorted down the aisle by her father and then he preformed the ceremony! He was funny and his words were heartfelt. A truly special gift. The reception was awesome. Perfect weather, incredible food, great staff service, a cake and petit fours, lots of dancing with Joel from Greenbelt DJ, a sing along and fun in the live photo booth rounded out the night. Kristin and Dave chose a laid back honeymoon at a family cabin in Oklahoma for some much needed rest and fishing... one of Dave's passions. Thanks for including us! Just a note the Winfield Inn was beautifully green and has gone green. See their website for more information - http://www.thewinfieldinn.com/about_us.html

Lindsey and Mark - Downtown First United Methodist Church and Hyatt

Easy going and low stress is how to describe this wedding and couple! We started out at the First United Methodist church on a very steamy Texas summer day! After getting most of the pictures taken inside for the comfort of the bride and her bridesmaids, we ran across the street to the capitol for a few very quick pictures. This church does not allow flash photography and photographers must be behind the back pew or in the balcony. Well, no problem and to tell you the truth it provides some great angles and different views. The chapel and stained glass is beautiful and the candles added the extra bonus. Pastor Ruth preformed a touching ceremony. Then off the Hyatt for fun, food and an incredible view. The reception continued with sweet toasts, cake, eager singles for the bouquet and garter toss plus lots of dancing. Joel with Greenbelt DJ kept the crowd on the dance floor and did the group love to dance! Plus a bit of fun in our live photo booth. What a great event! Lindsey and Mark are honeymooning in beautiful (and cool) Colorado.

Wedding Day - Lauren and Russell

J. Mark Photography has never had a rain out and I became an obsessed weather stalker for the two weeks leading up to the wedding. The worry was all for nothing! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. We also could not have asked for a better husband for our daughter. Lauren looked stunning in her vintage 40's glam style dress, birdcage veil and make up. Russell is a gentle man and perfect for Lauren. The Four Season’s was the getting ready location. Angela, owner of Lucie Marie on location hair and make-up, did a beautiful job getting everyone ready. Presecco and chocolates were enjoyed while we did all the finishing touches. Rebekah, owner of the Glass Fountain Florist, provided the fantastic flowers! We highly recommend her.
Russell and Lauren decided to have a special meeting and moment prior to the ceremony. I think it calmed the wedding ceremony jitters but they also were able to share some private words with each other. We were then able to take many of the group pictures before the ceremony.

Amanda Woosley, Harpist, provided lovely music and Judge Wisser conducted the ceremony. Lauren and Russell wrote their own vows. They were beautiful and heartfelt.
Dinner was delicious and the Shoreline staff were awesome. Tiffany blue boxes were filled with toffee provided by Donna Palmer owner of The Toffee Co. - Yum.  Joel owner of Greenbelt DJ did a super job with music and kept the dance floor hopping. We have worked with Joel several times before selecting him for Lauren’s wedding. Another great vendor that we highly recommend!

Humble Pie Desserts provided the wedding cake; creating the exact design Lauren sketched out on paper from California!

We set up the photo booth and asked Megan Hamilton to staff it. She did an awesome job! Everyone had a blast. It was first time that Mark and I have been able to play with the props!

The couple exited to bubbles and sparklers… and then down to the dock for the release of wish lanterns. OK...so in full disclosure, this was the only thing that did not go off without a hitch. Good in theory – but between wind and guests not letting them heat long enough we only had two (Sandy and Chris get gold stars) successfully launch! Two got stuck in the trees and a party isn’t a party unless the firefighters show up… and they did!

The biggest of all thanks goes to Steve Hancock who was behind the camera with just a little interference from Mark. We can’t thank you enough for the wonderful work you did for us!
