Emily and Dan’l at Vintage Villa’s on Lake Travis

Mark and I woke up and sat outside on Saturday morning and realized that fall had arrived in Texas.  Hurricane Manuel brought Austin some much needed rain and then ahhh…cool weather. The day was absolutely perfect for Dan’l and Emily’s wedding.  Family and friends gathered at Vintage Villa’s to witness the union of this awesome couple. Following the ceremony guests were welcomed by Emily’s father. He gave one of the best father of the bride speeches, ever. A wonderful fajita buffet, dancing with the tunes mixed by the always wonderful Anthony from Greenbelt DJ, lots of dancing, celebration and an exit to bubbles rounded out the evening. I asked Emily’s mom how she was going to fill all of her available time now that the wedding was over and she said, “Oh, my parents 50th wedding anniversary”. Well, Emily and her mom did a spectacular job on this party, so I bet the next one will just as great! Emily and Dan’l both graduated from UT. Dan’l has taken a position with Chevron in Louisiana. Emily has lots of new opportunities to pursue and from her father’s speech, she will shine at whatever she decides to take on. The couple is honeymooning in Vancouver.

Stephanie and Jaidev

Such a cute and romantic couple. We met them at Chisholm Trail Crossing Park for their engagement session.  They will wed in just a few short weeks at Villa Bella in Lago Vista. They both work for National Instruments. It should be a fun wedding with terrific food. We hear the Clay Pit will be catering. Yum.

Jenny and Ryan @ House on the Hill

Afternoon “heating” in Texas can cause some of the biggest storms. A tornado warning was issued and we were all closely monitoring the weather radar. It looked like the ceremony was about ready to move to plan “b”. The bride getting ready to walk down the aisle, strong winds started to blow and the wind could be heard in the wedding officiates microphone.... the storm split right around the venue and quickly dissipated!   Whewwww... Pokey Joe’s BBQ for dinner, heart felt toasts, Cakes by Lori, a very busy photo booth and a packed dance floor rounded out this evening. And of course some pool Fun.Great job Ryan and Jenny!
